Billcue for accountants and bookkeepers

Billcue gives accountants and bookkeepers a separate portal for working with invited small-business clients, without asking the client to share their normal account password.

How client access works

A Billcue client invites an accountant by email. The accountant accepts the invitation and selects that business inside the Accountant Portal. The client can revoke access later.

The access relationship is tied to the selected client, helping accountants move between invited businesses without mixing records.

What an accountant can review

  • Income and expenses for the selected client.
  • General ledger and reconciliation status.
  • Profit and loss, balance sheet, BAS and supporting reports.
  • Review workpapers, possible duplicates and uncategorised transactions.
  • Chart of accounts and expense category account codes.
  • Journal entries and their effect on reports.
  • Questions sent to the client and the client's response.
  • Other enabled workpapers, such as BTC Markets tax data.

Why it can suit smaller clients

Some small clients need reliable invoicing, expense records and financial reports but do not need the full complexity of a larger platform. Billcue gives those clients a simpler day-to-day interface while preserving an accountant-facing review path.

Billcue is not practice-management, tax-lodgement or dedicated payroll software. Accountants should confirm the client's reporting method and the evidence needed for each engagement.
